Flute, Priego de Cordoba – 1985
With a degree in Flamencology from the University of Cordoba, Sergio de Lope is the leading representative of a young generation of flamenco-fusion musicians who, instead of starting from jazz to get closer to flamenco, depart from flamenco to lead it to paths that converge with classical contemporary music or jazz.
In 2017 he was awarded the Filón Minero, First Prize in the Flamenco Instrumentalist Competition of the 57th International Festival Cante de las Minas en la Unión.
His latest show: "Ser de luz" is a allegation to the musical memories of the people, to the high vibrancy through music, and also to the masters of flamenco who have taught us so much and who have continued the legacy of so many lives.
